The olive tree and all of Sardinian nature have always lived in symbiosis with man and both boast centuries of life. It is the main ingredient of our products but its properties as a beauty treatment were known by all the civilizations that flourished in the Mediterranean basin.
The Phoenicians called it liquid gold and Queen Cleopatra used it as the secret of her legendary beauty.
Sardinia is the only Italian region that can boast of the DOP mark over all the production of extra virgin olive oil: the protected designation of origin. The processing plants, the most modern in Italy, work without the use of water, thus preserving the organoleptic qualities of the olives. Traditional agricultural practices in total respect for the environment, which resist industry, pollution and homologation.
We use this particular oil as soon as cold pressed from the mill because its fatty acids (linoleic, palmitic, linolenic ...) are very similar to human sebum and as such penetrate deep in the dermis, they hydrate it and promote the renewal of collagen and elastin.
Its richness in vitamin E and polyphenols protects against oxidation and skin aging.
Precisely for this particularity it is the main element of the Mediterranean diet and is a precious ally of health.
Italian researchers have shown that oleuropein aglycone, the main polyphenol contained in extra virgin olive oil, prevents and delays the onset of Alzheimer's.
In this way it protects the neurons and keeps the mind clear and responsive. Other scientific studies that we attach have revealed that olive oil protects against various neoplasms, in particular colon cancer.
