Here thousand-year-old wild olive trees have survived long periods of drought and extreme climate change, developing sophisticated physiological and biochemical adaptation mechanisms. The most emblematic is S'Ozzastru di Luras, estimated to be between 3,000 and 4,000 years old, and awarded the title of “Tree of the Year 2024”. These trees, highly evolved organisms, are capable of regulating cellular hydration in conditions of water stress developing natural barriers against pathogens and transforming biological aging into functional stability From such an important biological and cultural heritage Officina della Salute came into existence: a project that applies the principles of advanced sustainable cosmetics by integrating scientific research, rigorous botanical selection, controlled production processes and respect for natural resources.
Our production is deliberately limited to ensure maximum freshness and bioavailability of the plant-based active ingredients. By using recyclable glass packaging and eliminating paper, we reduce environmental impact and preserve the integrity of the formulations. The medicinal plants used grow in the uncontaminated areas of Ogliastra, where for centuries the local population has developed healing practices based on the observation of nature and a profound balance with the environment. This ancient knowledge is today confirmed in modern phytotherapy and scientific cosmetology.
From leaves, flowers, fruit, and seeds, we extract cold-pressed vegetable oils, rich in antioxidant polyphenols, soothing flavonoids , essential fatty acids (omega 3, 6, and 9), and phytosterols useful in helping strengthen the skin barrier. Thanks to their lipid structure, they penetrate deeply, promoting long-lasting hydration, protection from oxidative stress and rebalance sensitive and reactive skin.
Our philosophy is not aesthetic transformation but organic beauty care. The skin is not altered but supported in its natural regeneration mechanisms. Each formula is born from applied scientific research and designed for two key groups: Longennials (40-45), a crucial phase in the prevention of skin aging and Perennials those over eighty, who bring functional longevity and more fragile skin.
